Board Members

Ida is Michael’s mother and founder of Butterfly Circle of Friends. As the President she oversees all the business practices. Responsible for locating and vetting of all donations to private clients and  veteran non-profits that provide services to present to the Board Members.  Seeks  possible donors to present proposals  for potential projects.

Previously volunteered at Fort Monmouth NJ with Army Community Service, Joint Base Mcquire Dix Lakehurst  with the Army Survivor Outreach Service, was NJ Ambassador for Adopt A US Soldier, Family Readiness  Group Leader for an Army Reserve Unit in Red Bank, NJ.

Ida is married to Pedro and is a homemaker. Her greatest joy in life was raising her two sons Michael and Troy. Hobbies are singing, dancing and baking cakes.

 

Pedro is Michael’s father and co-founder. As Vice President of Butterfly Circle of Friends Pedro helps manage fundraising events and vet potential organizations for donations. He is Director of Information Systems at Dr. Leonard’s Healthcare Corp. He enjoys bicycling and playing softball. Pedro is married to Ida and together they have another son Troy.

Sarah was one of the founding members. Her background in non-profits helped the organization get established as a 501-c-3 non-profit organization. Sarah is also involved in her local community and is current treasurer of the Roxbury Arts Alliance. She is a Controller at Profit Point Consulting. She resides with her husband Peter in Succasunna, NJ They have 3 children, Ryan, Christopher and Eric. She likes to dance, exercise, read and try to do something fun every weekend.

Rob has been a board member since 2011.  Rob is the Director of Development for BCOF. He is the Race Director and organizer for our annual 5k Race and 1 Mile Walk.  Rob helps with our marketing efforts which includes working on our website content and design. His company  Rob Wilson Photography where his company specializes in photographing families and executives all over New Jersey. For the last four years he has been coaching youth basketball. Rob resides in East Brunswick, NJ with his twin boys Matthew and Jacob and his wife Gina.

Jeff has been voted in as a new board member as of September 2017.  Jeff is in charge of public relations and marketing for the BCOF events.  Jeff is involved in several networking groups throughout NJ.  He is great at cultivating new relationships which assists in bringing general awareness for our events.  He is a Senior Business Executive for Comcast Business and specializes in client satisfaction as well as the development of future leaders through proper training and support.  Jeff resides in New Jersey with his fiancé Bionca and is Michael’s childhood best friend.  Jeff likes to travel to places he has never been and spend time doing things he has never done with his friends and his family.  In the summer he spends his weekends creating memories with friends and meeting new people on his boat.

 

Sue is one of the founding members for BCOF.  Sue helps with organization and planning of events for the Butterfly Circle of Friends.  She has a background in paralegal and handles many administrative tasks working for Shop Right headquarters.  She resides with her husband Russ in Spotswood, NJ.  Sue and Russ met the Gonzalez family when they were buying their house over twenty-five years ago and have been close family friends ever since.  They have two children, Christina and Jeff who were friends with Michael since he told them to get out of his room.  Sue likes to involve herself helping others and takes great joy in hosting events at her home for her family and friends.

Teri is one of the founding members for Butterfly Circle of Friends.  Teri assists with preparation for events and coordination throughout.  She has a background in real estate which brought her to her passion of architectural sales.  She has been with Best Tile for 22 years where she will soon retire to spend time with her loving husband Ron.  Ron is a Vietnam Veteran and they have been married for 7 years.  Teri met Ida and Pedro in 1987 when she moved into the house across the street, where she raised her two sons, Rob and Jay.  Teri has a passion for traveling and in the near future plans to drive down Route 66 with Ron, which has always been a dream of theirs.
